2020 TPAA Medical Mission (Save Baby Life Project)

The 2020 TPAA_ S.T.A.B.L.E. (Save baby life project) for neonatal stabilization class was conducted at Bhumibol Adulyadej hospital on February 6-7, 2020 and at Pahol Phonpayuhasena hospital in Kanchanaburi on February 13-14, 2020.

We had 18 TPAA members who participated at our medical mission at Pahol Phonpayuhasena hospital, our members consisted of 4 OB-Gyn, 5 pediatricians, 2 orthopedic surgeons, 1 anesthesiologist, and 1 psychiatrist. All of us shared their knowledge and experience as well as provided patients consultation in various departments of the hospital. Our psychiatrist also provided service for the patients in the psychiatric outpatient clinic.

The following pieces of medical equipment were donated to the Pediatric department of the hospital on February 13, 2020:
> 3 sets of laryngoscopes (48,000 Bht)
> 1 set of Neopuff resuscitator (60,000 Bht)
> 4 sets of Masimo pulse oximeter (340,000 Bht)
> 2 sets of high flow nasal cannula (380,000 Bht)

For neonatal stabilization class, we had 101 attendants, ( physicians and nurses from 21 hospitals in the region), who completed the course. 99 received learner cards and two neonatologists received support instructor cards.

In summary, we had a very successful medical mission.
